Cornalin
The quintessential Valais grape variety.
Very unpredictable and difficult to work, Cornalin can be distinguished by its intense purple colour. On the nose, it surprises with aromas of red fruit and spicy notes.
A little secret about Cornalin: this wine changed its name because of another, unrelated wine of the same name in the Aosta Valley. The quintessential native grape variety, for a long time Cornalin was known as Rouge du Pays (country red) in Valais.
