The Swiss grape variety with a deep colour.
Although its original purpose was to colour wines, particularly for certain blends, Diolinoir rapidly convinced the Valaiswinemakers to vinify it on its own.
Diolinoir has a very deep colour, with cherry notes and a relatively tannic character.
A little secret about Diolinoir: it is one of very few varieties with such a dark colour.Diolinoir is a grape variety that derives from research and was invented in Switzerland in 1970.
