The winery was founded in 1986 by Claudy Clavien and currently grows around 6 hectares of vines, in an ideal location on the slopes of Sierre and Miège.
Cave des Champs – Claudy Clavien focuses without compromise on the equilibrium of the rootstock to obtain the lowest yields, without excessive vigour, so that grape concentration is optimised.
Winemaker Claudy Clavien favours textured, subtle wines – he is a wine artisan who works with premium-quality barrels, with a very fine grain, adapted to each grape variety. This enables him to achieve astonishingly complex wines and slow, promising ageing.
