A French grape variety from the Côtes-du-Rhône, Marsanne (known as Ermitage in Valais) was first planted in Valais in the 19th century.
Its grapes produce rich wines with aromas of red fruit, vinified both as dry and dessert wine.A little secret about Marsanne: a bold variety that is not afraid to grow in dry, infertile soil.
