Known throughout the world, this grape variety produces wines with a very powerful nose with aromas of red fruit such as strawberries, raspberries or blackcurrants.
A little secret about Gamay: its well-rounded, light tannins combined with a very fruity nose make this variety easily identifiable.A variety closely associated with Beaujolais, Gamay was introduced in Valais as long ago as the 19th century.
