Chai du Baron

The Chai du Baron is in Bramois, in a magnificent building dating from the 17th century. The winery offers two distinct ranges, to satisfy different market demands.

Patrice Walpen, the managing director of the Chai du Baron, oversees this 15-hectare estate, whose vineyards stretch from Saint-Léonard to Sion. This winery offers white wines such as Johannisberg and Heida (Païen), red wines in the style of Gamay or Cornalin, and champagne.

Its two ranges are: the “Chai du Baron”, aiming to reproduce the fine quality of château wines, and “Léon”, seen as a sort of second-string château wine, aimed at a younger, more urban market.
